Ortrun Merkle
Researcher, United Nations University (MERIT), Maastricht UniversityDr Ortrun Merkle is a researcher at the United Nations University – MERIT and Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on the complex nexus of corruption and gender. She is especially interested in understanding the role of gender norms and where and why sextortion occurs. Ortrun also regularly gives executive training on the topic of gender, corruption and gender mainstreaming and completes research on the topic for international funders.
