The 2014 Guide offers principles and guidelines to facilitate corporate governance practices in hospitals in Egypt. This guide bridges the gap between the social and humanitarian mission of the hospital and its organisational nature. The objective is that hospitals can improve their performance and patients' healthcare needs, whilst remaining efficient. By doing so, this should lead to accessible, affordable, and equitable access to high-quality healthcare services, free of corruption and other unethical behaviour.
