Bangladesh: The experience and perceptions of public officials

World Bank
This report analyses the findings from a survey of public officials in Bangladesh undertaken in 1999. Based on their recognition of “the risks of a narrow and technocratic view of what is needed for public sector reform, and of a reliance on best practice models that have not been feasible in the particular country setting”, the report is an interesting attempt to map the situation of the Bangladesh public administration, and includes detailed analysis of institutions.
