U4 Senior Resource Person and independent consultant
Karen Hussmann is a public policy expert with 17 years of experience in democratic governance, accountability, anti-corruption, fragile states and health economy. She has worked for Transparency International as Regional Coordinator for Latin America and for UNDP as Accountability and Transparency Specialist respectively. As an independent consultant she has worked with, amongst others, UNDP, GIZ, DFID, CIDA, and OECD-DAC, frequently leading multi-disciplinary international teams. Karen is currently a Senior Resource Person for the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre. She has considerable experience in the areas of UNCAC, integrity reform, anti-corruption policy making, public administration reform, health care financing, civil society engagement in governance, as well as in donor approaches to foster accountability and to address corruption. Karen has had extensive work experience throughout Latin American and in many countries in Africa and Asia. She has a Master in Public Policy and Management from the University of Chile.
